“I Am The Way, Truth, And Life” Day 5

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:6-7)

The Life

Some see life as a present, many see it as a prison sentence. It’s sort of a cup half full or empty argument. Yet we have breath today – we have made it to today while many others have not. We have been given a new day, what shall we do with it? Perhaps the baggage in your life and mine find a renewed purpose in the recounting of the cross. It seems like our struggle can be repurposed for good. Our junk becomes treasure and our burden becomes freedom.

How has the Lord of Life used your struggles to benefit others and bring praise to Himself? Today, remember the grace given freely in the everyday. Recount the healing deeds of a loving Lord. I have a feeling there are many more than we can recite. May that gratitude set your day ablaze. Praise God for this beautifully broken life.

Lord, thank you for your life. We wrestle daily with meaning and purpose, but you have granted us something larger. May we live with messy intention today as you grow larger in our hearts and actions.
