End of You and The Start of Him

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

We are in constant need of grace reminders. It is so critical that we refresh our mind with such thoughts. Within the context of grace, Jesus is found and understood. Our knowledge of the divine goes only as far as our understanding of these foundational principles. This grants us a high view of God as well as a humbling perspective of ourselves. We are reminded just what we bring to our salvation – nothing but a willing heart. We boast in a great God. As children, we simply rely on our father for He is in breathtaking control of our span of life. He fights and heals while we reap the rewards.

If you read this and feel as if you are at the end of your abilities, good. This is exactly where the God of the universe wants you. In this, His ridiculous grace can move. It is in these moments where we see just how big God is and just how great our reliance in Him truly is.

Remind yourself of the God you serve. When faced with your own insecurities and failures, set your eyes to Him. Boast in His Holiness and camp out in the shadow of His cross. You don’t have to be anything else but His.
