9 We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. 10 For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. (Romans 6:9-10)
So we now live post-resurrection. Our old selves have been slain with our savior, and freedom has been granted to the humble who believe.
So how do you use your freedom?
Is this an opportunity to live the abundant life promised by Jesus (John 10:10), or is it merely insurance from hell? Paul says here in Romans that Jesus used His freedom as an opportunity to “live(s) from God.” In this resurrection reality we now find ourselves in, we live as extensions of grace to the world in front of us. We are to flood the boundaries of this life with the freedom of resurrection. We are now His representation. When others see us, may they see Jesus and the truth of His resurrection. May a world of death see a renewed life. This is what it means to live to God.
“For the death he died he died to sin, once and for all”
Your past, present, and future sin is covered, buried at the foot of the cross. Now go. Live unhindered in the full redeemed potential before you.
Lord, thank you for everything. I can never accurately describe your worth or the debt of praise I owe to you. You have purchased a better life for me than I could ever live. Give me the energy and humility to share your grace with the world around me.
