Prison or Present?

17 I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. (Psalm 118:17)

Some see life as a present, many see it as a prison sentence. It’s sort of a cup half full or empty argument. Yet we have breath today – we have made it to Tuesday. What shall we do with it? Perhaps the baggage in your life and mine find a renewed purpose in the recounting of the cross. The Psalmist confidently believes he will live to share of his deliverance. It seems like our struggle can be repurposed for good. Our junk becomes treasure.

How have you used your struggles to benefit others and bring praise to God? Today, remember the grace given freely in the everyday. Recount the deeds of the Lord. I have a feeling they are many. May that gratitude set Tuesday ablaze. Praise God for this broken life.
