The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Psalm 103:8)
God is for you.
Let the weight of that sink in.
Many have opinions on the nature of God, many of them are incorrect. When we look at Scripture, over and over again, we see the echoes of Psalm 103. He does not simply love, but abounds in love. It overflows. Extreme. Patient, quick to show mercy. No longer does God have to be that imagined distant tyrant in the sky who vengefully strikes without warning. Anger is never his first response. It is for the mistreated and the outcast who he angers for. He has a prepared mercy for you. A mercy that leads you back to himself and softens the stiffened neck of your justifications.
Wherever you are today, act likewise. Let His mercy and love triumph over your undeserved brokenness. He fights for his children. He has you. He is for you.
